Telesens IT, in collaboration with Czech TRL Space, proudly unveils a new strategic project: the creation of an Eastern European satellite constellation dedicated to advanced monitoring capabilities.

This ambitious project aims to deploy high-resolution remote sensing satellites designed to deliver critical, real-time data to Ukraine’s Defense Forces. The system will enhance situational awareness both during and after the current conflict, while also supporting Ukraine’s economic reconstruction efforts.

A Unified Approach to Security and Reconstruction

In October 2022, Ukraine and the Czech Republic signed a political agreement to establish a defence cluster using space technologies. This agreement was the catalyst for the Czech-Ukrainian Constellation project, a satellite constellation designed to create an Eastern European monitoring constellation of Constellation satellites jointly.

Given the ongoing conflict, timely satellite intelligence is vital for Ukraine’s Defense Forces. Suzirya will deliver real-time strategic, operational, and tactical insights, significantly enhancing defence capabilities.

Beyond defence applications, the project will benefit NATO allies, Central and Eastern European countries, and the broader European Union. It aims to drive innovation across sectors such as smart and precision agriculture, mining, and environmental monitoring. Additionally, the constellation will support infrastructure surveillance, which is crucial for sustainable national recovery and economic growth.

Leadership Insights

This strategic initiative is jointly managed by TRL Space Systems s.r.o. from the Czech Republic and Ukraine’s Telesens IT LLC. Both organizations bring their expertise as system integrators in a private-public partnership framework.

“We’re honoured to contribute to Ukraine’s defence and recovery through cutting-edge space technology,” stated Eduard Rubin, Chairman of the Board at Telesens IT.

“Our collaboration with TRL Space marks a significant step forward in international space cooperation. We look forward to working alongside Ukrainian enterprises and research institutions, leveraging innovative solutions and industry expertise.”
