Telesens has become one of the organizers of the interactive online project #e_ovation.
The lockdown has affected not only the business sector. The cultural sphere has suffered losses, and financial difficulties are only a small part of them. Now artists are practically deprived of the opportunity to perform. To help performers and audiences meet online, Telesens take part in managing the #e_ovation project.
Its goal is to create a platform where people of art can showcase their creations. The idea initiators of the project are the First Deputy General Director of the Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after N.V. Lysenko / KhNATOB / SkhidOpera Ihor Tuluzov and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Telesens Eduard Rubin.
«Igor Tuluzov had told me that lockdown made performers depressed», Rubin said. – We were looking for an opportunity to help them. The creative group «Philosophy of Celebration» has joined us. We discussed a lot and finally, we have found a solution. This pandemic and lockdowns should not affect art, which is an integral part of a nation’s national identity. Art is created for us, it heals souls and supports us in difficult times. We all need it, and today it needs our support. When the globe goes online, business ought to support theatres», he said.
In order to attract a wide audience Facebook account and YouTube channel were created for the #e_ovation project. The first broadcast appeared on-air on May 21. The Academic Theatre had given up its standard formats, the new product combines humour and irony, the creativity of classics and modernity, and the interactive possibilities that new technologies provide.
Different locations are used. The presenter is on the stage of the Opera House, in front of an empty auditorium. Artists perform at unexpected places: a married couple of ballet dancers has performed near their block of flats, and an opera singer has a son in the theatre buffet.
The start was great. Preparations for the next broadcast have already started. The organizers are sure that the project will continue even after lockdown is cancelled. Project #e_ovation will help popularise classical art among youth and performers from Kharkiv will be recognizable all over the world.
